Trying to Survive...the best way i can.

sorry..i'll start posting again in a bit.

I know i know. i'm sooo bad at keeping up with this, but I will shortly. it's just been a bit hectic.

Look at my schedule this past weekend:
Saturday: worked 10am - 7pm. (job #2)
Sunday: worked 7pm - 4am (job #2)
Monday: worked 9am - 6:30pm (job #1) then 9pm - 4am (job #2)
Tuesday: will work 9am -6:30pm (job #1)
Wed: 9am - 6:30pm (job #1) then 7pm - 10pm (job #2)
Thursday-Friday i actualy get thanksgiving off!!! but i might pick up one shift at job#2.

anyways...i'm sooooo tired! but this is only for this week...it'll lighten up a little the next two weeks. i'll only have my normal 9-6:30 job and then 3 short shifts at job#2 that doesn't go pass midnight! haha.

in the meantime, NY weather is amazing. I get to sport my leggings in my emu's (wannabe uggs) and my new black wool peacoat that i loveeeeee! I love winter here! a nice chill of 33 degrees. yes, i heard about the 80 some degree weather out there. yikes.
oh and the winter decorations are slowly being put up all across town. sigh. this is why i'm here. =)

little boys don't like flowers....

walking back to my apartment, i passed by this fiower shop where a mom and son was looking at the flowers on the sidewalk. Next thing i know, the little boy out of nowhere gives the batch of flower a grand ol' kick in the nuts! ouch!

i love seeing silly things on the street.

*is this a precursor of why when the boys grow up, they still don't like the idea of flowers?

So how is it that I only got one B+ the whole time I was at FIDM getting my professional degree and paying $24,000 and also having a Bachelor's Degree at UCR for Business with a 3.6 GPA that I can't seem to find a job that's not starting from the VERY BOTTOM or entry-entry-level??? I don't get it...all i need is an interview. But even to get a simple interview, it's hard because all they look for is 3-5 years experience. Half of these people don't even have schooling, i now double think my choice in going to FIDM. blah!

oh well, let the search continue. It just makes no sense. I spent so much money on education only to bite me in the butt in the actual career world. However, i don't regret everything i've learned. I felt that education has broaden me tremendously, but what good is that when this Industry just wants experience. I could've been a high school drop out that started doing some floor sales work at some big department store or an intern at a photography studio and within 3-4 years (time it takes to get a degree in the "school" world) they can climb their way to a position that I want to currently get into.

Sigh...bartending, here i come. And once again, i opted the school route on that one as well. What's wrong with me?? haha. Am I just a sucker for school?

I did it! I finally did it! =)

My first laundry trip!!! I realize i always lived in the luxury of not needing to go out of my apt./apt. complex to do laundry. However, now my closest laundry place that doesn't charge you $.75/lb to wash/dry/fold is around the corner where I have to pass by all these "laborers" that gives me uneasy looks. *yikes* Luckily, i learned the art of ignoring since i've been here and looking like shit. No make-up, hair up in ponytail and stretchy headband, and flip flops. Anyways, i finally did it...i finally got Tania's stupid drool stains off of my pillowcase! =P However, i was cheap since i ran out of quarters and was one quarter shy of having the perfect completed load of laundry. Instead, now i have a few towels that are stll mildly damp. oh well, they're gonna get damp soon anyways when put into use, right?

Next on my list: (which i've been procrastinating on)
Move the TV out of my room so i can set up my computer and start working on projects and finish unpacking so i can have my room all organized and ready to truly be lived in! ahhhh...i can't wait. =)
